fuel pump not getting power?

for some reason my fuel pump is not getting power to cycle which is causing a no start I checked the relay and the fuse both are working but fuel pump will not go unless I hook it up directly to a battery than car fires right up so the fuel pump is working im at a loss why its not getting power.

I am investigating the same issue here on one of the rx8.

try to jump the Negative wire on the fuel pump directly to the chassis body, see if the car starts normally

I'm having similar issues. My fuse and relay are both fine but car will not start. Haven't hooked fuel pump to battery though. How would one know if the fuel pump resistor is bad ?

So I'm guessing no way to test it ?

I would try bypassing the resistor at the plug and see if the pump runs . Dunno which wires to jump but shouldn't be hard to figure out .
