engine got no power at all

engine got no power at all
i got a brand new engine, i was on the freeway doing about 110 km/hr and mt engine malfunction light came on, my car loast all its power since, i cant even drive it to the dealership. what could be the proble, plug leads or coil caps? any ideas

could be plugs, coils, fuel pump, cat, compression, etc...
I'm assuming when you say "brand new engine" you mean you've had your engine replaced recently? How long from being replaced to now are you? Any mods to the engine? How many miles on your cat? Does it start?

My engine has only done 800 kms. it is definetaly the cat converter. i tried moving the car on Sunday, the grass underneat the car caught on fire. i am really sad as i cant rely on my 8 any more. im really tired with the car breaking down and making trips over and over to the delearship. thinking of buying a Ford focus ST, what do you guys think?
