Engine failure..

Hello, I'm having problem to start my engine on my 2005 RX8. Odometer is reading 39.5k miles now.

I recorded the engine sound

http://www.fiveworlds.net/V0013.mp3

Two mp3 files are same, but I just tried twice. I don't know what is wrong w/ my car. I also tried to jump start but doesn't work.

Yesterday, I tried to install sound activated CCFL(neon) footwell lightning, and not sure if that's the cause of engine failure. Wiring diagram is here:

Do you see any problem with the diagram?

I'm pretty newbie to RX8. Is the car flooded its engine? I tried deflooding instructions from the manual, but seems not helping. Any suggestions/comments will be appreciated. Thanks

Hm..

I think I did something wrong when I wire the neon circuits.. Now the radio unit is not turned on when I turn on the headlight.. Now I removed all the wires, but still doesn't work. Maybe I should try jump starting tomorrow morning. Any idea? Please help. Thanks!

Have you tried the deflooding procedure found in the owners manual?

Have you checked all the fuses? There are several that need to be intact to start the engine, and if you wired something wrong you could have blown one or more. Both the ones under the hood as well as behind the kick panel in the driver's footwell.

^+1...It sounds to me like you miswired something and that is a really great place to start. It's not likely you did any more electrical damage, other than blowing a fuse somwhere. I would start there and let us know.

Yea grounding issue prob. Need more info & pics on what you did with the neon if you can't figure it out.

edit: Just looked at your pic it's a little hard to understand. Disconnect the neon's just for grins. If the polarity was wrong that cig lighter fuse prob would of cooked.

It just turned out to be battery issue.. it was too dark last night and I didn't properly hooked jumper cable yesterday. I think I shorted the circuit when I installed footwell neon and the battery was gone. I tried jump starting this morning and the engine started okay. I forgot to insulate the wires with tape that caused shorting cig jack fortunately fuse looks okay. Thanks a bunch for all your replies
