Low RPMs not giving power

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out why my car won't accelerate as good when I'm in low RPMs. It's like its bogging until it reach 4000 RPMs.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Thanks,
Bmcc

check your plugs, wires, and coils the biggest thing that is overlooked. if not check cat, and decarb the motor.
if all fail check compression. how many miles any mods?

One thing you should do, is tighten your oil cap and check your vacuum lines above your MAF to ensure they are snug. It sounds like a loss of vacuum pressure to me.

Recommend you take some time to get to know your vehicle, and automotives in general. It's difficult to advise when you don't know the basics of operation.

Loads of info here, just search.

MAF = Mass Airflow Sensor and it's on the intake line prior to the manifold. A dirty or malfunctioning MAF can lead to loss of power by giving the vehicle's computer faulty data, but so can may other things.

Just had this problem and the dealer told me that 2 of my plugs were bad and so were two of my coils.
