CV joints
So I was playing with my rear suspension the other day (2 weeks ago about) and while removing the shock assembly, I pushed down and out on the wheel hub and pulled the axle out a bit too much: the inboard CV boot stretched and it took a bit of a push to get it back into normal shape. I tried to avoid rotating the axle at all while it was like that. This happened on both side because... why not.
I've been driving around seemingly without any ill effects, but back in my FWD days I was told never to pull a CV joint. I'm kind of questioning if I need to examine/replace before the next trip to the track.
Thoughts/similar experiences? Are these CVs the same as FWD CVs?
Thanks,
