colder air for the engine

I have the kn version2 on the car, looking at possible cutting the bumper and having a direct airflow into the kn. Iv seen a few 350z s do this and i wanna know what people here think about it or if they have done anything. if anyone has pics of cutting thiers up or a thread i looked around but didnt see anything. let me know if theres a thread i can read on and id be glad to

You could buy the Racing Beat Ram Air Duct. http://www.racingbeat.com/FRmazda4.htm. This way you do not have to cut your front bumper for a clean looking install. The top intakes for the RX8 are AEM/Mazdaspeed and Racing Beat Intake. If you are set on keeping the K&N theni would get the Racing Beat Ram Air Duct.
