clutch pedal issues
Today I just realized that over 7k RPMs when upshifting, my clutch pedal will only travel in about an inch or two before getting VERY stiff. Oddly enough it seems to be a good place to give me quick shifts, but it definately would travel all the way to the floor before(if for some reason I wanted it too)
I had a centerforce DF clutch and RB stainless clutch line put in at Rotary Performance about 2 months ago.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Noted. Ive thought about bleeding the line, cause the pedal feels spongy too. Is it possible that air got in there when I swapped out the transmission fluid?

I believe the CF clutch gets stiffer with the higher RPM.
It's designed that way.
Usually a stiff clutch mean it is wearing out.
Air in the lines will make it feel spongy and not alway connect properly.

Ok. Checked the clutch pedal bracket after looking at some other threads, It seems fine. But the pedal is making a squeaky noise when I push it in which seems like it could be about to go?
Since I didnt start seeing these problems until the switch to RP maxgear, I'll be trying out redline this week. After reading some of the threads and having a couple 3rd and 4th gear grinds of my own Im done with maxgear.
I guess if that dosent work we'll try bleeding the clutch line, if that dosent work then I guess I get to drive up to rotary performance and start shelling out cash to figure out whats wrong.

You cant see the broken spot welds...Send your pedal to Charles R. Hill or see if he has one that he has already repaired and will trade yours out. It will be better.

I know this is a kinda dead thread, but Id thought Id post an update.
I went to the dealer, they replaced the tranny fluid. Problem went away.
Last week, I started hearing a squeaking noise coming from the transmission when the clutch pedal was out, additionally it was almost impossible to get the car into 1st or reverse at times.
Took it into another dealer and noted the pedal problems, problems engaging/ disengaging, and the squeak squeak squeak from my tranny.
Now I get a call saying "the squeak was from your throwout bearing and the shifting problems are a bad clutch" when I mentioned the pedal he simply repeated his first statement.
So the clutch and throwout bearing are on order(under warranty!) and even though I really, really dont think its the clutch I guess I'll wait and see what happens........ Cant complain about clutch and TOB under warranty, unless it turns out that wasnt the case. In which Im out $700 for my Centerforce clutch......
