Clutch Issues?

Hey guys, ive had my 8 for about a year now. Shes a 2008, and I remember having these issues last year, but they seemed to have gone away since it heated up. Last winter, i remembered having issues that when it was cold, my clutch seemed to slip a little, where the engine would race but i very little power would be put to the ground. it only does this for a moment, and it seems to only happen sometimes, or if im in a drive thru line for extended times. Also the previous owner said he replaced the clutch a couple months before i bought it, so it shouldnt be much older than a year now. Any idea what could be causing it?

Also semi related, sometimes i have issues shifting into first when stopped. i just shift into second and then i can shift back into first without an issue. Any ideas on this?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like the clutch pedal needs adjusted. An adjustment of the pedal can be needed if the clutch was replaced. I would try that first before going any further. If the slipping persists then the clutch disc has worn out and the seller lied about replacing the clutch.

To extend clutch life, put the shifter in neutral at a stop light or when waiting in a drive thru. Holding the pedal down causes heat buildup on the clutch and can reduce clutch life.
