clicking sound

does anyone ever hear any clicking which sounds like it's coming from behind the dash, and if so, do they know what it is?

Please elaborate.

When does this sound occur, is it at start up?

While you're driving?

Or at shutdown?

I hear a click (like a solenoid/relay) noise at key off...asked the dealer about it today and they said it was normal operation and the noise was the ignition shutting down.

was that the tsb about the loose airbag or something...doesn't affect the airbag function just a little clicking noise...I'm getting it fixed next week along with the vibrating rear quarter window that has been TSBed and 'fixed' twice...I feel bad for the dealership since it is a pain in the a$$ to remove that door panel

clicking and airbag

I was getting a clicking with about every 1/4 turn of the steering wheel. Dealer said it was the steering wheel airbag tsb -- a piece of cloth had to be added or removed. Anyway, dealer took care of it and no more clicks. Good timing; took care of squealing brakes and center console insulation on same visit .... (They had to order the insulation but had the new pads.)

have not resolved it, not really worried about it i guess. it doesn't happen all the time, and it doesn't sound like it's coming from the steering wheel, more so behind the dash, almost as if from the engine compartment.

I thought mine was gone, but has re-surfaced so it might not have been the airbag tsb. Not a big deal so won't have it looked at until next time the car is in. Mine does sound pretty "up front" rather than very far behind the dash.

not the coins. it's like a clicking/ticking/vibrating type of noise the comes with diff engine speed, especially when the car is idling, it goes away alittle after i tap the gas, then does it again at idle. but not all the time.

If you have Xenon lights with headlight adjustment, they're responsible for a few clicks (at least that's what my user manual says).
