Clarification on my Motor Mounts
So I had a really bad vibration on my 05 -8, but to me it seemed excessive when the A/C was on. It would vibrate so hard sometimes that it would rattle, what I though was my SP2 exhaust piping on the frame somewhere. I took it to a service center near by, who looked at it and said both motor mounts are bad (I'm assuming there are only 2). He explained that they are liquid filled motor mounts, that for some reason are flat (he said solid) now (42k miles now, started in the low-to-mid 30ks).
Came home and did some research... There was a recall out (Engine and Engine Cooling 05V317000) for excessive heat in the engine bay. From what I read, this excessive heat can cause the liquid in the motor mounts to evaporate, creating useless motor mounts in a low mileage -8. Tried explaining that to my dealer, but they wouldn't hear any of it. Apparently, the recall does not affect my particular VIN. I read there were some TSBs attached to the motor mounts but could not find them, and the links posted to them were dead.
The vibration I thought was coming from the exhaust piping is apparently (from reading) the exhaust header or something on the lower engine vibrating on something else down there. And I guess the reason I thought the A/C was the issue is due to the condensor turning on, causing the engine to vibrate a little more. Sounds right?
Also, I read that the motor mounts were updated at some point. Does anybody know what the part numbers are, and how exactly they were updated? I would like to make sure I am getting the latest ones.
Does this all seem correct about the motor mounts?

Yeah sounds like your motor mounts are shot. The heat from the engine would not cause the liquid in the motor mounts to evaporate since the mount is completely sealed. Here is a link to find the most updated part numbers and also great prices. I would order from Finishline Performance and have your dealer install them. And here is the link for the TSB for the motor mounts http://www.finishlineperformance.com...01-09-2062.pdf
