Check Engine Light after jumping a dead battery

So I just got back from a week long vacation. Long story short, the 8 wasn't being used 2 weeks prior to this event anyways. I get home and felt bad neglecting the 8, so I tried to fire her up. The interior lights were very dim but tried starting anyways. it gave 2 chugs and died. Okay I thought, no problem. Just plug in the battery charger and wait about 30mins and it'll be fine...

30 mins later, I tried again, 3 chugs and nothing. Left it there at 10amp 12volts automatic mode for about an hour. This time she fired right up, with 3chugs and then it gave a loud screech before idling. I let her sit there for a bit before going for a drive and this is when I noticed the Check Engine Light.

Car drives fine, no idling issues, doesn't limit me in terms of rpm range, all my other electronics works fine as well. So in other words, everything is normal. My guess as how the CEL was triggered was by me causing the motor to miss-fire by having a weak battery and the starter wasn't working properly. Only a guess though..

So I was wondering, is there a problem I should be worried about? And how would one get the CEL to turn off? I've thought about maybe disconnecting the battery so it can reset?

I will start off by saying im no tech but i do my own work so heres my thought:
I personally wouldent worry about it. i have jump started my car a few times and this has happend once or twice. i use jumper cables tho and let it sit for a min charging. i normally have the traction light stay lit after a jump but when you turn it off and start it back up normally this goes away.
I would just take it to auto zone or simmilar. they can check and tell you what it is. if its something as simple as a mis-fire and if they are cool they will clear it for you. if its a bigger prob they will let you know what the computer tells them. if they wont clear it (technally they are not allowed to becouse of emmissions testing, people clear their codes and get tested, apperntly theres a law somewhere) just go to the fuse panel inside the drivers door underneath the trunk button and pull the bottom fuse. that will remove the light. i found that by accident lol.

hope this helps!

You likely have the CEL from your trouble starting at first.
It'll take a couple drive cycles for that to disappear.
If you want, you can always disconnect the battery for at least 10min to clear it.

Thanks everybody, looks like it cleared up by it self.

After my post I went and checked my car to see if there were any problems. Checked my coils, plugs, wires, just to be sure. Since Alot of the info I found while searching seemed to be related to such.

I fired her up, and made way to my local auto shop. When I got there, one of the techs there asked me to start the car. And for whatever reason, the CEL cleared.

Man, I hope this is last I'll see of the CEL lol.

when the battery goes near dead and you jump it, it also causes one of the warning lights to come on after a full start. manual says to turn the steering wheel all the way to the right, then all the way to the left and it'll clear it after the next restart or something like that...
