Unhappy CEL codes p2070 p2004

Hey guys, long story short, i was coming home from work last night, coming from a stop light as i accelerated, i had a sudden severe loss of power, and stalled. I pulled off to the side of the road, and after many attempts was able to get her started. She stumbled all the way home as i tried to keep her alive.

That night i got the code p2070 and another for system too lean, which lead me to believe the ssv. The next morning a dis and reconnected to battery, started her up, again, very shaky idle, and pulled the code p2004 which indicated an apv failure. There was also another code that indicated that the system was too lean. I guessing this was just a result from the other code.

She runs loud like a lawn mower and I had to keep the revs up an play with the clutch a lot to avoid stalling out. When I got home, I also noticed that the cat was glowing red. I just decided to have her towed to Mazda.

The only thing really iffy about the whole thing is that I took her in with the bhr ignition installed, as i no longer had my stock coils. As undoubtedly I don't believe this to have any part in the cause, I think they still may try to blame this if i in fact need a new engine. I at around 63,000 miles, have done all regular maintenance at mazda and this is the first major problem i've run in to.

First things first, I'm having them run a compression test, and they're gonna get back to me with the results. I hope things go as smooth as possible.

Any comments and input are much appreciated.

i could

i would shoot a PM or email to Ray over at BHR, he'll get the service tech straightened out if they try to blame the BHR ignition kit.

Thanks man. Well besides the engine codes, I had them do a compression test, which apparently didn't pass. I have not gone to see the results yet.
