Ok, so the turn signal lever goes up and down to indicate a left and right turn, but is there any way to tighten the wiggle room it has to go back and forth?

I know it's the high beams as well the lever is loose and has some play in it...

Anyway to tighten this up?

Lucky for you I have a spare switch laying around that I could take apart.
Short answer... no, there is no way (that I could tell) for you to adjust play.


Looking at the pic above, the arrow is pointing to a plastic piece the lever rides against.
That little "spike" in the center is what you "overcome" when switching between high and low beam.
I'm holding the lever at its "flasher" point to better see the whole piece.
If the lever piece that rides against it is worn down, that could be what is giving you that play.
As you can see, the area is packed with grease to help reduce wear (I removed the grease from the center piece for this pic).

Your best bet is to buy a used one from a part-out, or just live with it.

 

No, but Mazda has some of the best controls. I don't get this one. You want it to make a loud clunky click like a GM or a Ford lol?
