Car won't start when it's hot.

Gas stops, mistake at the traffic light, they all turn to a frustration this last week.

Yesterday it's the 6th time i got it, in less that a week. The problem appeared very suddenly.

So here are the facts:
-I always turn off the car with a last rev on 4k either hot or cold. If i don't do that it does not affect the problem for better or worse.
-Car will start immediately when cold, it is never flooded
-Battery, Sparks, Plugs are ok
-The days here are hotter now, since it's the mid summer.
-M/T which helped me start it by push last time i got it in the gas station.
-04 RX8 230hp 73000klm (aprox 44k miles)
-New engine on it since 51000klm (aprox 31k miles at the point, engine has only gone for 13k miles)
-If I heat it up a little, then turn of, the car starts normally.
-If I don't heat it up at all (tried this only once) the car will still start normally.
-The problem seems to appear after heating up, and having pushed the revs above 5-6k, then turn the car of.
-I do let the car run on the 900 for a short period after i parked and before i turn it off. Problem persists.
-Sometimes lately I get the needle not being very steady on the low revs when parked or waiting on the traffic light.

Last time I got something similar was before i replaced my engine, it was late summer at the time, one of the two rotors had totally lost compression, the 2 out of 4 spark plugs where faulty. Now the engine is new...the sparks are new but the starting issue when hot is the same. What can it be?

Doesn't sound good. Have the dealer check the engine compression and vacuum. Hot start problems are often indications of low compression. Also, have you removed the plugs to check for flooding when this happens? Could be you have a faulty fuel injector that is dumping fuel into the engine after shutoff. If you get clouds of smoke out the tailpipe after you finally get the engine started, that would be an indication of such a problem.

BTW, the core engine warranty is now 8 years or 100K miles so if you have another failed engine, it should be replaced under warranty. That assumes you are in the US.

My first engine had that problem. At first the dealer couldn't replicate the problem. Then the exhaust tone got louder. Engine was later replaced.

I believe he is Greek.

I come from Greece yes.

There are indications that fuel left in the engine, there are no clouds of smoke but there are many exhaust pops.

Generally the engine does seem a bit weird those last days, I will be getting a compression check. I was informed by the dealership that changed my 1st engine that my engine warranty is there and in any case I should not worry.

* thought the mile was 1.2 kilometers i was wrong, it's 1.6 so I edited the first post with the accurate miles of the car and second engine.

This seems to be part of a series of problems caused by and explained in this post:

Sorry for making this post but at first seemed like two different problems.
