I recently go in a fender bender, minor but i had to change my front bumper, hood and the intake tube. When I went to pick up the car from the body shop, they couldn't start it. It was pushed two hangars down to a mechanic who checked the computer, nothing came out. He then took out all the fuses to check them, cracking two in the process, but he said that that was fine. He also checked the spark plugs and said they were ok. In the end my uncle got there and he push started the car and it ran fine.

The problem is, i was driving the car yesterday (a day after) and it turned off while I was going 55 mph on the expressway. The radio, lights and engine just shut off. I turned off the ignition (the car was still going 50) , put it back on, put the car in fifth and released the clutch. The car came back on and was fine the rest of the commute. Today it stalled again the same way but I was going about 40 mph.

Would anyone have any idea what is going on?

Thank you all for the plethora of responses, much appreciated. In the end it was my key that needed replacing. Apparently they must have somehow damaged my key at the bodyshop and the guys at Mazda said it was losing contact with the car while driving causing the immobilizer system to shut the car down.
