Can you guys do a little test for me?

I feel like my car has no power. I mean, there is suppose to be at least 160 torque and I don't feel it at all. My old lancer had 160 torque and hp and felt like pulling more than the rx8.

I was cruising at 100km/h on 6th gear and floored it. It litterally took 6 secs to get to 110km/h. Thats quite a lot imo.

COuld you guys do the test? for you americans it would be from 62mph to 69mph.

thanks in advance.
I think my engine is losing compression and on the verge of slow death.

Poor compression doesn't give those symptoms - it would run and accelerate fine, just start slowly.

Like Razz said, the cat would do just that, the faster you go the more you feel the engine choking off.

There's supposed to be at least 160 torques??!?!?!?!!

In all seriousness, I think you got the wrong info here. These cars when running normally with no problems, usually get perhaps 130ft-lbs of torque. Torque isn't what makes a car fast though, it's horsepower. And lightness.

True, torque is important in a 6th gear low RPM pull but......I dont know why that figure would be important.

i go all the way to the beep. sometimes i feel a slight hump/hesitation and then it keeps going.

btw new plugs, coils, wires, air filter and clean MAF all done 2 months ago

could a bad cat be the reason why my fuel consumption is so high? 320km to a tank. (200 miles)

O2 sensor could be going bad as well, but yes a bad Cat usually leads to poorer fuel consumption along with performance. It's all about breathing.

I have a new engine, 10k on coils/plugs/wires, new cat, and new O2 sensors and I only get 200 miles to the tank. So be happy with what you have
