Unhappy Brake System Warning Light, ABS Warning Light and DSC Light all on at same time?

Has anyone ever had the Brake System Warning Light, ABS Warning Light and Traction Control light (as in it is working) coming on at the same time? I had a couple of drives where the traction control was 'working' for no reason at about 75kph and there was a noticable loss of power as it was trying to stop the wheels from spinning, but they weren't. Then the next day I get all three lights on at the same time with the traction control light on solidly and a power loss. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this and if so, how was it fixed...I suspect the dealership is going to try to sting me for big bucks when I take it in. The brake fluid is full, so it's not that.

I just recently had a somewhat similar issue where my DSC light would come on (and stay on) until I turned off/restarted the car. This occurred right when I had a noticeable power loss driving onto the highway. I also didn't have traction control during this time. This went on for 3 days in a row.
I decided to do a reset on everything (disconnect battery for the DSC (have to move the steering wheel to one side and then the other after reconnecting battery), NVRAM, and KAM). After that I never had the DSC light come on like it did.
Don't know if it'll take care of your problem, but it seem to help with mine (at least for now)

Welcome! I would say with something like that that a trip to your local dealer would be a good start just to get them to see if anything has been stored.

Also I am curious, whats the "MissyRX8" reference?

I too am curious Swoope how you came to that conclusion.
If it was the power steering harness, the Power Steering Malfunction indicator light would illuminate.

Nearly 100% that it is one of the wheels speed sensors. It's happening at this very moment with one of my cars and I have the TSC and ABS lights on all of a sudden, so the dealer took it in and diagnosed the speed sensor. If you can determine which one, it's a very simple replacement job.

Thanks guys,

It turns out that I had a slow leak in one of the rear tyres and being 35 series, it was hard to tell parked in the grass on the side of the road, but after a while parked on cement, I could tell (just) that one of the tyres look a little low. Can you believe that the tyre valve itself had a small tear in it!?

So anyway, after taking it to the dealer just for their opinion, they said that even a small difference in rolling diameter in one of the rear wheels will cause those lights to come on because it is trying to let you know something is wrong.

I changed back to one of the original wheels which has the same rolling diameter as my new wheels/tyres and it didn't happen again. So, having had a few 'issues' before, I assumed the worst, but it turns out it was no big deal.

did not get the heads up on tire size...

most definitly a wheel sensor. Same thing happened to my friend's WRX. Took it in for allignment, next thing u know, the speed sensor have been tempered, and no ABS...

im too late in the thread to ask but, sometimes aftermarket wheels and tires, low tire pressure in one wheel, even diff tire brands on diff wheels can cause those lights to all come on like that.

i had a guy who had all 4 potenzas at maybe 3/32 of an inch and he hit a pothole and blew out a tire so he needed it replaced. we replaced it, then he came back with the same issue, dsc and abs and all that crap was goin bonkers. it was the same tire on all 4 wheels but one was new and the others were 3/32.

enuff to trip the dsc up bc the diameter was that much off.

u will see worse scenarios on cx7s and speed6s where they have awd...omg is that a nightmare....
