blinking ignition security light

I just noticed that my ignition security light is always blinking when the keys are out. Is it supposed to?

Yep, just shows the immobilizer is active.

There really is a ton of useful stuff in the owner's manual. If you don't have one, you can always register as an owner on www.mazdausa.com and it will allow you to download a PDF version.

yeah... after a year of having the car i had barely noticed it to and it freaked me the heck out, got the manual out and started reading.... then BAMN.." NO ****!!!!"

gosh this is hilarious. I just went thru a divorce, have next to no money, and never noticed that light being on before. until last night, sitting in my car in a daze after shutting it off...and I thought sheet just what I need a diag light coming on...thank you for making my day...
