2004 RX-8 Hard Start hot or cold

so my car is having a hard time starting (cold or hot), but if i jump the car it starts up perfectly fine. i have gone through 3 batteries and have fully replaced the coils, wires, and plugs.

car has 98K miles on it, doing the de-flooding procedure will work if i dont kill the battery first. btw if i leave the car alone for 2-3 days then the car will not start up at all.

so im thinking that something is draining the battery or there is a voltage problem.

My first guess would be the starter failing.

No one able to figure out what is going on? Didn't drive the car for one full day and now it won't start up. Meter is showing that only, .03 amps is being drawn

The diagnosis you gave in the first post sounds right. Something is actively draining your battery.

Put a amp meter in-line between the battery and the positive cable and see what it reads. Then start individually pulling fuses (and then replacing them) to see what circuit or circuits the power drain is on. Once you have that isolated, then do the same thing on each of the connections on that circuit.

Little thing but happens sometimes: trunk not closed?
One thing is clear: something drains your battery
