what kind of turbo does a FI rx8 uses?

if the 8 is to be turbo, what brand of turbo would you guys use?

IHI? Greddy?

What brand does Mazda use on the 7?

the 13B-REW used Hitachi units.

FYI: Greddy turbos are Mitsubishi units (slightly slightly different), in the same vein that Turbonetics are Garrett by make... and yes, i prefer the Turbonetics units as they seem to have pretty competitive prices, clocking on almost every model, and numbering which makes sense.

oh well that's too bad
cuz if mazda uses IHI, i can import them for cheap!

btw, IHI is use by Ferraris (racing?), Subaru and Honda PWC (personal water craft)

Mazda used Hitachi turbos on the RX-7's. Most upgrades for the 7 are a Garret. It just about picking the right compressor and turbine sizes. The rotary needs a much larger turbine size than a piston motor.

TRIVIA: Mazdaspeed's engineer was the lead engineer for garrett turbos.
