Weird Clutch Pedal Pressure Issue
Been having a strange issue for the past month with my 6-speed 2004 rx8.
Usually the clutch pedal is stiff all the way through and fully disengages the clutch before being pressed half way which was all good and normal to me, but now the clutch pedal gets squishy once in a while... there will be no pressure until the pedal is pressed halfway and wont let me switch gears until the pedal is pressed all the way down. I will give the pedal a pump or two and it goes right back to being stiff all the way through again, then maybe a couple more gear changes and the pedal gets squishy again..... I do not see any leaks and I am not losing any brake fluid at all.
So far I have not really had any troubles trying to drive it but im worried it will just get worse and I will lose all the pressure and be stuck on the side of the road. Im pretty sure its a master or slave cylinder but i've never had this problem before and im wondering how long I have before I need to get my mechanic to look into this?

Fluid contamination. Flush your clutch line. Probably should flush your brake lines too, since they share the same reservoir. Regular maintenance item that has probably been ignored on your car.
