Replacing the radio display

Hey all!

I have a question regarding replacement of the radio display. I believe mine is broken as it has been showing gibberish(not the matrix style where the letters flickers) since I bought the car. I've had the radio out and checked for loose connections without any luck, and all the controls and functions are working.

So on to my question, have any of you guys removed it before? I can obviously tell that the plastic cover around it needs removing, but I'd rather not break any clips in the process. Are there any other things i need to know or look out for?

I'll buy a used display off ebay since they're so cheap.

It's quite easy. Pull radio and remove screws until it's out. 6 total if memory serves. Nothing tricky to it

Cheers mate, i figured this out in the garage the other day. Just removed everything from the gearshifter panel up to the display

The new display is working and it's absolutely great to have it up and running.
