A few people have done it - either replacing the cat and resonator with a test pipe, or just replacing the resonator with a straight pipe as part of a new cat-back exhaust. It's universally agreed that the exhaust becomes LOUD and OBNOXIOUS with the resonator removed. A very few people like it, most others think it becomes waaay too loud and don't like the sound.

Regards,
Gordon
