Hi,

I'm looking for the rear Oxygen Sensor specifications :
after the catalytic converter
it gives the A/F (Air Fuel Ratio) and good or bad catalytic converter
it detects the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas

a high voltage --> car rich (<14,7 AFR)
a low voltage --> car lean (>14,7 AFR)

with model ??? LM1 ?? bosh ???

I know :
- it's a 4 wire sensor :

[C] [A]
[D] [B]

where :
A : Y (Yellow)
B : BR (Brown)
C : W/R (White / Red)
D : R (Red)

- when you check the voltage ; at 3000 rpm should should have 0,5- 0,7 V ; under accelerated you should have 0,5-1,0 V and under decelerated : 0-0,5 V

take + to A and - to B --> Voltage

- you should have a 14,1-18,9 Ohms resistance under 68°F (20°C) : conditions for the sensor to work fine

take C and D --> ohms




anybody check the voltage after putting a midpipe ???

By putting the correct resistance you can perhaps avoid the cat cel ?????

Fraid it's not that simple. The PCM does a test cycle...and it expects both sensors to react in a certain manner. Since the WB02 is current based...and the narrow band...voltage based...you will have a devil of a time fooling it.

humm .... could you be more explicit ??

if I stay with a voltage between 0 and 1V and close to 0,5V at 3000 rpm .... should be right ???

I will test an electronic fooler for subaru sti and mitsubishi evo VIII (a friend of me build them ... ; it's perhaps the same)

and I ask GTAW too for his fooler ..

The output the sensor sends is "spikes" or clicks of voltage, increasing in frequency as the mixture gets leaner.

So you would need a fooler circuit that sends regular pulses, like the ones they use to fool Subies and Mitsus, but when the ECU sends a check of rich/lean mixture, it expects both sensors to react, and no fooler ever could.

I 've seen caster eletronics selle an electronic fooler ...
is it working or not ?????

it can be done, but it will require monitoring the front sensor and then outputing an electronic signal back to the PCM, not going to be cheap, at least not initially ...

I read here some use the casper electronics 104052 fooler

some say it's well working

other it's not working (or only working with a high flow cat and not a midpipe ...)


who is true ????


and ... it's the same fooler for the evo VIII on the casper eltronics website
