My passenger-side window wouldn't open yesterday. A faint click could be heard when either switch was actuated either up or down. When the defeat switch was depressed, there was no clicking sound.
The cause is uncertain.
1) I had the driver's side airbag replaced very recently. It might have lost its learned positions.
2) The wind caught the door and closed it pretty forcefully. That might have jarred its learned positions.
3) I had an MX-6 which had contacts problems in the driver's side multi-switch. Possible same manufacturer issues? Electrical corrosion.

Anyway, I opened and closed the door firmly today, and the window started working again. A flickering of the switch lights was noticed and the motor seemed to have only 80% intermittent contact closure.

Then, I came here and found this thread, and learned about the learn mode. So, I went out to the car and did the learn mode. It does seem better than before. Learn mode or just better contacts contact?

Beats me. But it's working pretty well again...

deativation switch

Maybe your deactivation switch was stuck in lock mode and you unstuck it when you took it apart.

I could hear the drivers window switch click, but it made no attempt to engage the motor to roll the window down. The last time this happened, I hit the switch up and down a time or two and it worked, but not today. 30 minute ride home and nothing. I even shut the car off and restarted, nothing. After dinner I went out to the garage with the intention of pulling the door panel to investigate....and the damn thing is working just fine now. Any suggestions on what to look for? Bad switch? Bad window motor?
in my past experience that would be the button going out only sometimes making connection. You can abuse the switch a little when acting up to make it temp. Work
