Pennzoil Platinum Full Synthetic vs. Quaker State Advanced Q Full Synthetic - Input?

Hey all,

Just curious if anyone has any information or experience, good or bad, regarding the aforementioned oils. Trying to decide which to use, so any input would be appreciated.

Regards,
GS

I found a few UOAs and a VOA for the Pennzoil on BITOG, but I have yet to see anything about the Advanced Q. I know they have the same parent company, but I've read the Quaker State is a different formulation (different base, etc.)...but no real details were offered. I'm still looking for Advanced Q info if anyone has any.

if your going to go synthetic, just go royal purple or redline. Both have a 5W-20 solution, are much better oils, and given the extended life of the oil (I change every 6K), the cost is almost the same as regular oil if you do it yourself and by in bulk.

I agree about RP, but the two I've mentioned can be had for 1.99/quart right now at Pep Boys (after rebate). That's a difficult price to turn down.
