Parking her
As the title implies I'm parking the 8 and it will no longer be my DD as gas has hit $4/g. I was wondering if there is any thing special I should do before I let her rest for 5 or 6 days at a time seeing how she is used to being driven 5 to 6 day a week.

nope.
only suggestion I'd make is if it's going to be longer then that would be to consider disconnecting the battery or using a trickle charger.
I can tell you from experience, our batteries don't last long when the car sits.
what's the new DD?

A 95 Oldsmobile cutless supreme 240k miles and as good as factory. I keep all my lady's well treated. As for the batt I got a optima red top it got a little weak in the knees in the single digit days this winter but never let me down.

I have a love / hate relationship with Optimas.
Have used them exclusively in my cars since I started driving.
the last 2 years however, I've gone through 6 yellow tops.

My red top has been in for the last three years now and hasn't let me down yet but I think after this last winter it might be time to change it. Single and negative digit temps have no mercy for batts
