Need to manually adjust heat
I searched for a while and couldn't find how to manually switch from cold to heat under the dash. I had an aftermarket radio put in and ever since my heat hasn't worked properly. I took it to a few places. In the summer I had heat no AC. I took it to my mechanic and he manually switched it under the dash from hot to cold and showed me what to do. Now that it's cold i looked under the dash but forgot how he did it. Does anyone know how to do it, any pics? I couldn't find it in the DIY. My mechanic is 1 1/2 hours away. I'd hate to have to drive that far for him to do a 2 minute fix.

So your A/c heat **** is not working? Or did you remove it for the aftermarket radio?
If it's not working, pull it out and pull it apart. There might be a disconnected wire if not there are three prongs that will have broken solder joints. Just solder them back togther and you'll have a working ac system. There is a DIY for the repair. It is super easy. Even if you have never soldered before, go to radio shack buy a cheap soldering iron and a small thing of solder for about 20 dollars total. If you did your radio swap then you should be able to do the whole repair in a hour. If you don't know how to pull the radio it might take more like 1.5 hours.

Rotary Evolution
the HVAC module interfaces with the radio so it would probably have to be worked around, i saw a few DIY for radio install that should cover this issue. i have not needed to do it since we still have the stock radio.

Pull out the glove box (like to change air filter). Look for something that looks like this

There will likely be several . Go from ac to defrost to heat. whichever one does not move is the temp damper. You can likely move it by hand.
Gotta run.
