m flash/ecu question for new 8s

I purchased my rx8 in 07/04... the car came into port from japan 4 days before i picked it up.

Should my model be ok with the low hp issue? The people who are posting about taking there cars to get checked out, did they have earlier version?

depends on your vin number, not when you bought it.

Please elaborate? What should I look for in the VIN number to see if I have the lastest flash from the factory? Thanks.

David,

Get your VIN number. Then go to the sticky at the top of this thread for TSB's. Click on the link provided. Click on the appropriate TSB. Check to see if your VIN falls in the range of affected cars. Hope this helps.

Thanks wankel8. I checked the TSB and my car thankfully fell out of range of the VIN's. Thanks for the info.
