Lowered my 8, doesn't sit as low on front passenger side.

Lowered my 8, doesn't sit as low on front passenger side.

I installed Tanabe GF210 springs on the rear. They look great and sit at just the right height. The front is a different story…

The drivers side looks good. There is maybe about an inch gap between the top of the tire and fender. But the passenger side sits at about 2 inches. I did the whole "preload" routine of jacking up the hub until the body started to come off the jack stands, then tightened the bolts. I'm also positive that the springs are sitting correctly in the strut assembly. (The bottom end of the spring is sitting snugly at the indented area of the strut).

During the install process I noticed that my passenger side sway bar link in broken. Would this affect the ride height? I wouldn't think so but I just want to confirm.

Is it possible to loosen up the upper control arm bolts while the car is sitting at ground level to see if the bushings will spin a little more, and in turn drop the car a bit more?

Other than these two things, I just don't know why the passenger side wouldn't have dropped as much.

Take a look in this thread as it discusses an alternative, effective, and easy way to preload your springs…The coolest thing is that you do not have to uninstall anything.

Well as a followup, I replaced both front sway bar links, loosened up the upper control arm bolts and drove it around for a couple miles. Tightened everything back up and now both side are equally low.

I was going to ask if the springs had settled into the pocket yet but you figured it out.
