So for the 2008 Rx8's what are the known problems/improvements with the car? Is flooding and needing a new engine highly uncommon with the 2008 ones? Correct me if Im wrong but from what read so far from my research the 2008's had lots of improvements and its almost rare to see flooding and busted engines, obviously as long as u dont treat your car like a piece of junk and properly maintain it still just like you should do with any car let alone any rx8. I guess it would be great if you can post any experiences you have had with your 2008 good and bad so lets hear it!

 

Only one I've heard of is some pre-mature CAT failure, but even that has been rare.
Flooding is uncommon as you have seen.
Actually, even the early models don't flood that easy if you know not to shut it off cold or do something stupid(as I put on my semi-flame retardant suit)

 

thats good to hear actually the pre mature cat failure doesnt even bother me much because i just see it as an excuse to take out the stock exhaust and put in a nice cat back system
