Left shifter paddle

Hi all, I have a 2005 BB AT and all of a sudden the other day the left up shift paddle stopped working (in first no less, ended up hitting 8000rpm before I gave up and used the console gear shift). The right side and console work fine. Any ideas?

Warranty will cover it if you have warranty. I had my right up shift replaced about 6 months ago. Had to pull it a couple of times for it to work.
