Idle fluctuating with AC on

My idle seems to act funny when I turn the AC on. With the AC off the car idles perfectly around 800 rpm, when I turn the AC on it still idles nicely but when It cuts off it jumps to about 1,000 then back down to 750 or 800. And it will keep repeating this until I shut off the AC. The ac blows really cold. The aux fan comes on about every 10 seconds so all that seems to be workIng fine. Can anybody tell me if this is normal or not? And what exactly controls the idle when the AC is turned on ?

The aux fan coming on is what's causing the RPM jump if I'm not mistaken, completely normal.

Alright great!! Thanks guys, i got in it last night and sat there for a few minutes and it seemed to be even better. It jumped a little but it never hit 1,000 . This was after I cleaned the ESS sensor and the maf. But I'm glad it's normal
