how easy is it to remove stock airbox?

Just wondering if its complicated enough that a DIY should be made. Anyone removed theirs and take photos of the procedure?

Doctorr -- removing the entire airbox completely .. but minus the installation of another intake system, since people would have different kits to do that. I just want to make sure I don't do anything wrong or miss a step.

Shove it.....

Battery cover off, grab the top two corners and push firmly back.
The accordian tube will compress, and the whole shebang will move aft, the two pegs at front corners will be out and free, then angle up a little, keep pushing.
There are two more pegs that are underneath, lift as you push, the whole clamshell assembly should now be loose.
If all you need is filter access, unclip and spread the clamshell halves, the filter and housing are shaped so that the element will slide right out.
If you need to remove the assembly, you loosen the big throttle body clamp, unplug the three hoses, disconnect the MAF and S-DIAS wiring and two small vac hoses.
Pay careful attention to the grommets that the assembly sits in, silicone lube them if possible beacause if they come loose they fall in the rad fans/ jam them/ engine overheats/ self destructs. (Mazda has been informed of this design flaw.)
