Free Maintenance Schedule 2

I've misplaced my MSP04 documents. Can someone please post a scan or pdf of the MSP04 schedule #2? It used to be on the forums somewhere but I can't find it anymore.

Thanks!

I checked this link and it has nothing to do with MSP04 or the schedules. Did you paste the right link?

Sorry, I misunderstood.

Try this one:
http://www.finishlineperformance.com...08-05-1455.pdf

The original MSP04 bulletin, 01-022/04, dated 6/2/2004, was replaced by this bulletin.

Sure, I need a copy exactly for the reason stated above. The original bulletin appears to have been replaced, leaving it up to the dealer's individual interpetation of what they want or don't want to cover under the schedules. My car is due for service but the dealer and I disagree over what is covered. Mazda support line was next to worthless...

the updated bulletin is fairly straight forward about what is covered.

NOTE: UNDER THE MAZDA SPECIAL PROGRAM (MSP04), ALL CURRENT DEALER INVENTORY AND
RETAILED VEHICLES FOUND TO BE WITHIN THE ABOVE VIN RANGES, AND PRODUCED
PRIOR TO MARCH 12, 2004, MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPAIRED ACCORDING TO THE
INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED IN THIS SERVICE BULLETIN. THIS INCLUDES CUSTOMERS
WHO HAVE BROUGHT THEIR VEHICLE IN FOR NORMAL SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE AND/
OR RECALL REPAIRS THAT MAY NOT BE RELATED TO THE CONCERNS OUTLINED IN THIS
BULLETIN.
BEFORE PERFORMING ANY REPAIR, VALIDATE THAT THE VEHICLE IS APPLICABLE TO THIS
PROGRAM BY PERFORMING AN “eMDCS WARRANTY VEHICLE INQUIRY” AND VERIFYING
THE VEHICLE DISPLAYS CAMPAIGN “MSP04”. SEE “VEHICLE INSPECTION PROCEDURE”
BELOW.
if you have hard starts or flooding you get new plugs(if not already switched) and a new starter and bigger battery because of the newer tsb. no need to worry about the flash called for in MSP04 since it is superceded by the flash for the Thermal Damage Recall 3305g.

ugh. Sorry guys something is getting lost in translation. I am specifically looking for a copy of schedule #2. There must still be some other folks on this board that were offered the buyback and took the free maintenance instead. Do any of you have a copy of the schedule?

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm looking for. The catch is the dealer says it covers different/less stuff than the schedule listed in the owner's manual. In the past when I would go in for maintenance my invoices would print with zero charge and say "MSP04 ... maintenance schedule#2". Hmm so if 'MSP04' is the worng way be to be talking about this maybe that's why Mazda couldn't help. What should I be asking them for?

While not the best copy I found this on the net. I think this is what you need? It's too big to attach so I put it on my server. Also the program was known as MSM02. You should ask a MOD to change the title of this thread as it seems to have nothing to do with MSP04

LINK

That's exactly what I was looking for. Many thanks!
' MSM02' That explains why I was having trouble finding it.

No, I needed the one that was included with the free maintenance program. The one in the manual will not suffice. Rosenthal Mazda used to have it posted on their site, and it was posted here a couple times in the past.

I fixed the link in post #13, Sorry. Maybe Zoom44 can attach it ? I can't do that with a 1.5 MB file.

Thanks so much for fixing the link!!! The dealer wants me to bring this in to show them what is covered under the free maintenance program. Basically, my car has very low mileage but is now over 3 years old. It has had basically no maintenance at all even though I have the free maintenance program because they said that the car doesn't have enough mileage. At this rate, I will have gotten no service done on the car whatsoever. They wanted this so that I could prove that, for example, a 45,000mi service could be done at 36 months, not just only at 45,000 mi.

service interval is mileage or TIME whichever comes 1st. so you should be using time and getting you regyular free maintenance based on the months of ownership. i had an issue with a dealer here when i wasnt payign attention to the time passing- they told me i had missed a service interval and HAD to skip to the next one. however that would have missed the ddif and tranny fluid swap so i had them call and get it authorised
