The RX-Evolv is the prototype to the RX-8. It will not hit the showroom. Maybe the rumored RX-7 will be similar, but who knows

The Renesis is a Rotary engine with a alot of improvements. Mainly the side exhaust port versus the old peripheral exhaust.

The Name renesis stands for Rotary Enigine Genesis. Hence Renesis, it is to give a new name for rotaries, especially in the states where all people know about them is sealing problems and bad mileage. The general public needs to be introduced to the rotary again. People tend to forget the many, many good atributes and always remenber the bad.

Good point, I saw that happen live while I was watching it, it was crazy, this year they showed about 15 seconds of the Rotary Le Mans Car, and that was it pulling off in the early going, nobody spoke of the fact it is the only japanese car to win the famed race, and the only truly different entry. It was sad. I stopped watching the race after it stopped. Good call.
