car power loss resolved

so my rx8 had a loss of power and i took it into mazda. they replaced it with a 2009 rx8 engine.

Wait, is your car of that same setup? If not, I'm sure they did not replace your S1 engine with an S2. They may have said that because they didn't know better, but in order to get the S2 engine to work with the S1, it will need some electronics refitted. There is an entirely extra MOP to operate that our ECU just has no idea what to do there.

At least you had it resolved!

Highly doubt that they gave you a 2009 engine unless you have a 2009 Rx8

Ha sad to say, but i wouldn't put that past my local dealership, either that or weld a hook to the frame, and buy my a horse with a harness
