When removing/replacing the radiator, we inadvertently loosened a nut on the block that holds the A/C recharging port (front of the car near the overflow bottle). Thought it was just holding that to a bracket, but it ended up splitting that block and refrigerant leaked out and seemed to continue doing so even when tightened up, leading me to believe it had some sort of seal there. Does anyone know if that has a gasket-type seal or needs some sort of sealant instead? I figure it will be ok to take apart now, considering the refrigerant probably leaked out. Would like to be able to fix that before taking it somewhere to be recharged.

Fitting is in the left front of the picture below.

Just tighten it back up and make sure the O ring is not pinched, it should be fine. Then just recharge it.

So do I just recharge it with 194a? Also do you know what the recommended psi on that spot is suppose to be?

u mean 134a

no, what u should do is, buy an A/C oring set, comes with a bunch of difference size and it's made from HNBO,

Take the a/C compressor out, drain it's PAG oil (wear rubber gloves) by rotating the compressor by hand, buy a bottle of brand new PAG oil, pour same amount of PAG oil back into your compressor, reinstall, reinstall the hose with brand new o rings.

borrow a A/C vacuum compressor from Autozone and gauge set, vacuum for at LEAST an hour. make sure no leaks

if leak is found, find it and fix it.

if no leak, u can charge it with new 134a, but make sure u push the air inside the hose out first by opening the 134a for a bit THEN u insert it into the L Pressure port

pay 100-200 bux to have some A/C shop do it for u
