I just realized something. I just got my 8 used with 11700 miles on it. When I got it, I remember hearing a deeper tone from the back. To my suprise the previous owner had installed a complete Borla catback exhaust system.

I signed all the papers and stuff and I did sign warranty papers (the car is still under 50K warranty). But, I have this gut wrenching feeling my warranty has been voided, AND I BOUGHT IT WITH THE EXHAUST SYSTEM!!! The Borla system is 50 state legal if I'm not mistaken. I still passed VA emissions though.

But, seriously, is my warranty gone? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Don't take any chances... send the borla to me and I'll take care of it....

An exhaust alone will not void your warranty, unless the exhuast was the direct cause for a particular engine failure. I don't think you'll have a problem.

I dunno, I've heard having an aftermarket exhaust can result in burnt exhaust valves. :P

Oh well, I think I'll go up to Mazda this weekend. I've got to get a flash or something. My gas mileage (OH NO, I SAID GAS MILEAGE) is a little below normal. Haven't totally calculated it, but I don't think it's over 15mpg.
