The best ways are always hidden and only insiders know the method. It's a secret.

Mazda engine cleaner made for our cars. Similar to seafoam but works better. It's $25 a can and you spray it in through the nipples on lower intake manifold on the u.s. passenger side. The lower intake manifold is the metal part that wraps down by the exhaust manifold.

Oh okay. how does the seafoam work out for you? the only thing that bothers me about the seafoam is that i dont want it to dry out my apex seals and rotor housings and cause them to wear when i start it.

When you use a seafoam or any other engine cleaner, make sure let the nipples of the manifold suck in some oil to prevent excessive wear. If you searched a little more you probably would have known that though...

add some 2 stroke oil after you let the seafoam sit, right before plugging everything back in and starting the car. that way you dont have to worry about the 2 stoke messing with how the seafoam is doing its job. also wouldnt hurt to wait till you are on the last little bit of a tank of gas, and premix a little heavy so that the gas has more lubricant in it for start up.

some people claim MMO works great, others say and supposedly prove it does nothing.. just stick with the seafoam.
I would say 1/3rd a can per rotor, then last third in tank (only on full tank though... it can eat your fuel lines so dont want it too concentrated. id rather keep it for later or run 1/4 cup per rotor and do that treatment twice so you use the whole can)

Blubeasty22, you must disconnect the eshaft sensor, attach hose to nipple, try to start car for a few
Seconds, till all the measured seafoam is gone. It will not start, but only turn over since you disconnected the sensor. Plug back together and start up. Beware smoke hazard.

Forgot to mention, allow seafoam to sit for a few hours, repeat steps but with oil This time, then start.

Any auto parts store.

This is the DIY subforum however, which is for sets of instructions, not threads asking how to do something. Moving the thread to Tech
