Anyone know where to get the flange that connects the exhaust manifold to the cat?

The flange Im looking for is something new mazda just started using for the RX-8, so they havent gotten around to carrying it in the parts department yet. I've heard its similar to what Ford uses on thier cars ( gee.. I wonder why..), however, Im not sure if its the same or not. I just need to know where I can find that flange or something similar, since Im trying to design a custom exhaust system for my car. I also dont want to cut off the one from the stock cat, since I want to keep it all intact and be able to bolt it back on later if I have to. Im not really too keen on domestic aftermarket parts, but I bet someone here might know. Also does anyone here have a nice big decent pic of the undercarriage of the RX-8? Im talking like a whole bottom view, not a raised rearview pic of the 8. That would help out alot also, thanks.

I can get you one from the guy who fabbed my midpipe for a pretty good deal, do you need stainless or mildsteel?

colin204, most likely I'll just used mild steel, since its going to get dirty anyways, but PM me and let me know how much both are if its not too much trouble.

unfortunatly, the person who will be helping me make the exhaust is mainly helping me make the piping and doesnt have equipment to make the flange I need. He could probably hack something up that would work, but I want it to look nice. Plus Im also too lazy to draw it out on CAD and machine it. :p

um, yeah. sharp hacksaw (or really amazing skilsaw that just powers through stainless) + angle grinder + drillpress + 40 - 50 minutes = new flange. i don't understand, or how if there is an identical part from any other car company why you wouldn't source it from there... it's a thick peice of metal with a couple holes in it.
