2004 RX-8 Wont start

Hold the throttle wide open. Crank the wait. keep foot to floor. Then crank again.
Use same procedure over and over. It should start. If no charge battery and do again.
If you can't do it this way you have to do the unflood procedure.
Of course if you drive around town alot and have 20k on the plugs, ignore the procedure above.
Go straight to plug replacement.

Have you had the updated starter? Does this happen more often when the engine is warm? If so and you don't have it go get the new starter. Happened to me. Starter solved the issue for two months until my engine crapped out for good.
