Congrats man.

The clicking on the SSV is on the actuator, there is no real way to fix it, it just gets worn out. I was able to find someone selling one here but the dealer doesn't sell just the actuator. Mazda changed the SSV, the latest version is improved, I don't recall exactly how though.

It's actually the SSV shaft/bush that gets worn out - you have to replace the SSV to fix it .

If thats the case a heavy grease may be a temporary fix

I actually got to hear the car run in person today. It's real nice except for the rattle on that SSV. He showed me if he presses on the actuator stem the rattle goes away and it idles so smoothly.

Things kinda stalled on this and sat in storage for a while. Engine is getting pulled again for studding, return fuel system, and refresh.
