How do most of you guys hook up your cooler. Do you still have it running through the radiator or by-passed it completely? Would bypassing the radiator make your engine run cooler? Or do you have both radiator and cooler hooked up together?

Looks like the Radiator insulator is used is cold climates and the Oil by-pass kit is used to cool things down in hot climates. I live in a HOT climate.
My general thought is that people who are unwilling to read the STICKIED posts in this exact forum before posting about forced induction have no business messing with their engine.
that question made me laugh. i just couldn't resist.
just leave it the way it is, or get the BHR radiator.
Did you read the whole thread or only that one sentence?
Do most people hook up there after market trans cooler(The one that goes in the front of the radiator/AC condenser) and still use the oem cooler(In the radiator) or just disconnect the oem cooler and just use the after market trans cooler?

I believe that most would plumb the aftermarket cooler in after the OEM at cooler. You can do it either way really.

I would suggest one plumb the aftermarket trans fluid cooler in AFTER the radiator as this will allow the factory rad to assume most of the cooling duties of the trans fluid while the external cooler can pick up the rest. IIRC, it is the passenger side trans hose that is the return to the transmission but I could be wrong. Might you remember, 09?
ON your radiator that is correct. I don't remember if that is the same setup the oem rad uses.

i recently purchased a 05 at. the dealer told me 212hp ,after further research he lied basically im pissed, very happy with the car. just need to add some hp which seems nearly impossible without Fi. I have a heymee (sp) transmission cooler i was wondering if that woulf fit the at 8 thanks guys, obviously a rotary noob.I am going to call mazda about the misinformed info provided by the salesman im sure nothing will come of it.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated for hp gains with, the cobb ,midpipe ,exhaust, intake and possibly a pully ??
Everyone here will talk about whp since that's what we can measure. Manufacturers all talk about hp, which is before drive train losses.
right but i just think the salesman should have known the 212hp is in the 6port o6 models.i love the car just needs some more umph off the line, and 2nd gear is tall as hell.Any mod input would be greatly appreciated!
I will show some love. Here are pics of how mine is setup.
It is a Re-amemiya AT cooler (I suggest buying a cheaper one) that is custom mounted in the front. However, a BHR radiator should work well too.
