No RB re-flash for AT

No RB re-flash for AT
I was hoping that Racing Beat would be able to re-flash the ATs while waiting on a s/c kit to finally appear.
"We do not anticipate offering the AT chassis re-flash. Practically speaking there are significantly fewer of these on the road. jt"
Well, I guess we're in for a longer waiting game.

Bummed, but bring on OU!
It doesn't cost them anything but a few more hours of R&D.
There aren't many 6speeds on the road either...anyone see the sales figures ...
My guess is that they couldn't get any significant gains for the 4 port flash so decided not to market it.

Original Turbo 'd Auto !!
for a few Hp = the cost for the reflash? Also if the 8 goes into the shop for any service and a new Dealer flash is availbe. Poof the Rb flash is now gone.
To me it dosen't seem to be a viable investment.

The difference between the 2 is small. Other than a bit of port timing and intake tuning, they're pretty similar from 0-7000rpm. Even rated power levels fall in place linearly with rpm (with the 4port making about 80% of the 6ports peak power, at about 80% of the 6ports rpm). The 4port should, theoretically, be making slightly more power up to the 3rd intake transition on the 6 port due to being tuned for lower rpms, though.
Racing Beat typically isn't aggressive enough to extract much power out of the car anyway. My guess is that you'd see about 80% of the gain that the 6port flash attains, which makes it very much not worth the hassle and $ of sending the ecu in, imo.
