The e-manage seems to be the weapon of choice in Japan. I'd personally like to see someone take a Ric Shaw ECU to the limit.
Well, RE is also using a trust turbo. It's basically a trust kit implemented by RE. Since it's RE, it's probably one of the best and using those parts, not all that expensive, however, the e-manage is limited in what it can do (unless of course they have a new version that can do more).
I included a link above the picture in my first post. Beware, it's about 500,000 Yen. That's a lotta U.S.!
The RE-Amemiya turbo kit may be a big help in pushing A/T performance. It's a small-frame turbo, but they made it work. It won't be long until Japan's big dogs HKS, TRUST, Apex-i, BLITZ, etc. have large-frame turbo kits. We'll probably see some of that here in the States as well. I'm sure even some of the local shops in Texas are planning stuff, like Rotary Performance, and Gotham Racing.

We'll see what comes out of TX. I don't know if Steve has any plans to boost an 8. Last I checked, he was still working on his 3 rotor. I'm sure someone will ask him to do it eventually and we'll see somethin obscene come out of there.
Isnt this old news? They stillhave the same pics on re-amemiya that theyve had from late 2003. Wehave to wait till Trust releasesit in the US andI remember callingthem several weeks agoand being told that itd be ready either by the endof this year or the first quarter of next year for both automatic and manual. Then againthat was only speculation
From the latest mag... P Power is still tuning as they still have problem with heat. Are they going to put a 2nd intercooler to go at diff rev range. We will see. That article was 2 months ago.
Re AT turbo is already out but no review that I saw. Wish I have bought all the magazine there is in Japan but I am just too far from the Japan mag store. :D
Well, I think there is such thing as two-stage intercooling. I don't know if the 13B-MSP is capable of generating so much heat, that it requires two intercoolers to keep the charge dense.
sweet sweet candy ... hmm now if only they'd bring it over here already. But oh well i guess it'll be a few more months till Trust (i.e. Greddy) brings a kit out for north america...but what the hey i've waited this long i guess i can wait a bit longer.
oh and as for the price "Live mid-market rates as of 2004.10.18 18:40:16 GMT
500,000.00 JPY (Japan Yen) = 4,573.93 USD (United States Dollars)"
(1 JPY = 0.00914786 USD 1 USD = 109.315 JPY)
Of course if you wanted to get one it wouldn't be tuned for a US spec car (different octane gas)...and you woudl have to pay for shiping....I am wondering how hard it would be to install this kit though....hmm can the engineer in me handle it..well handle it with out screwing it up tha tis. LOL
The thing that bothers me about that chart is he's showing 220 PS on a stock car (or at least what he's calling stock). That's approximately 224-225 HP! And that's on a 4 port!? Or is that not stock and just with and without the boost?
Yeah. I'm trying to figure out whether the engine was subjected to a chassis dyno or an engine dyno. On the engine dyno, I'm sure a few mods will yield 220 PS, but at the wheels, probably much less than that. On another note, the plot looks like a seismograph. :p

Nope! not even on an engine dyno should a 4 port yield 220. A 4 port should yield about 190 on an engine dyno.
