Nitrous

I've decided to get nitrous, am I making a mistake as a first mod to my 4at? I figure its the best way because I don't need extra power very often, just once or twice a month when I take my rx8 to autox. Seems like it would be an easy install.

you may want to look into a trans cooler and another oil cooler before doing this

I am always an advocate for nitrous on any able application but Im not so sure it would be wise to use in Autox event. I guess it would depend on the course. I mean how often are you at WOT long enough for the spray to be beneficial? As i have never Autox myself, this is all speculation, so, what would you Autox guys say bout this??

Whether you use it for competition or not, i would still go ahead and get the setup. Just be sure to get the ZEX setup, is the "smartest" system you can get for the price.

The one I went to last week was half road course so while I only got up to 85mph there were some cars that got up to 140 that completely smoked my best time.

wow, if you are getting long enough straights for that amount of speed then it just might be beneficial. Courses i have witnessed didnt have oppurtunity for those kind of speeds

sshhhhhh....no one has to know. Charles, with your installation expertise, the system can be hidden (of course i dont condone illegal tactics in sanctioned events)

I'll jam my nos bottle in the little compartment that opens up to the trunk from the rear seats. No outsider knows about that one

if you want to get better times in autox.. you might want to try the Pettit SuperCharger.. it will allow you better accelration out of the turns.. it will benfit you much more than NOS.. which ever one you get good luck.. from one autox guy to another, go take those turns and show the pisstons that we are not scared of them

if it is the straights, u seriously need to get a turbo......nitrous will do but u will need an EMS.......like for real real, get an int-X or other EMS, get a 75shot, and tune it carefully

that is the cheapest way

Nitrous on an AutoX or road-racing car will not pass tech inspection.
