I dont have the map yet, but I should have it shortly.
The AZMazdaclub had a Dyno day @ UMS Tuning here in Temp Az. We had 23 cars go through the dyno. Talking about a long day!
Anyway my numbers I put down:
185 Hp and 242 Tq. This is the stock Greddy kit running 5psi in the manifold.
At one point we saw 13psi @ 3500 rpm.
The PDF attached shows 230.2 Tq and 182 hp, we did see the higher numbers.
Whoops, that ain't right. So to make sure the motor didn't go boom, we turned off the boost controller.
All this really proves is the 8 needs some more tuning.
The Exhaust system after the turbo: RP 3" hi-flow cat, and a HKS Hi power exhaust.
in comparison Easy_E1's stock At with a MS dual can exhaust put down 137 hp and I don't remember the Tq. soon as I find out I'll up date this post...

You had to tell them didn't you!
And it was 127 not 137. I seem to have a problem. I am going to the dealer this week and inquire as to why the car has such low HP #'s. Seemed to drop off at 6000 rpm. Again.

I don't understand. 5 psi is what you're running but you saw 13 psi?
On his initial run there was a spike in the boost at 13.6 at about 3500 rpm or somewhere there abouts. They turned the boost controller off and never saw it again.
After that it was a straight line at 5 PSI.

Ah, that explains it.
Then the power numbers are going to be very low without the boost controller. With it enabled, you can get full boost very quickly and hold it. Without it will creep up there in it's own time.
The difference between my boost controller on vs off is about 70 whp. And it would be even greater if I did >9 psi
Hmm, hopefully the dealer can get you some new plugs and coils under warranty.
If that is all that is wrong. My AF's were getting a little crazy up on the top end.
The plugs have about 15,000 on them and all but the L1 coil are original.
There is a new flash they are going to try also. Not sure that will help though.
Oh sorry about the thread jack Dave.

That is some pretty good torque but with some tuning your numbers should be much better IMO

well im typing this from my phone so forgive me if i misspell something.
CW i didnt realize where the tq peak was. good god 2800 rpm! just imagine is we kept the boost controller on and had a good tune.
now one thing to note. i had the methanol inj spraying during the dyno runs. when jeef and i go back on the dyno i plan on having a better spray pump installed. dave if your availble want to go with?

Its the Greddy setup with an EMU. The tune that is on the EMU now is a Street tune done by MM.. It runs and I have enough fuel up to 10 psi.
The only 2 diffrences are:
1. it oulls air in from outside the engine bay
2. a methanol injection kit.
I was really surprised to see the TQ # be that high. I was expecting 200 Tq and 235 - 245 Hp.
I was wrong. oh well, but it gives us a good foundation to improve upon.
One of the shots from the tuning. Tony of UMS in the drivers seat and MM in the passenger seat.

Autos have more torque than manuals at the same HP. Problem is getting their HP up.

haha.. I'm sorry that picture looks hilarious. Seems like he's making motor sounds haha.. ok sorry I'll stop laughing.
Well that explains the high numbers.. MM did your tune. From reading some of the threads on the board it seems only him and Scott seem to know how to get the most out of the Rotary with Int-X. I can't wait till MM gets a hold of Access Port mwahahahaha..
Oh and do you have the map yet?

Not Int-X. Its an E-Manage on a stock GReddy turbo. 4-Port auto.
HP was low because we aborted all of the runs at 6500 RPM because he was going lean.
The runs were not safe enough to push harder and, since it wasn't a real "tuning" session (just a dyno day), Tony and I packed it up after we were satisfied that 09Factor simply wouldn't blow up.

Wow, torque peak at 2800! What did the curve look like after that? My guess is that maybe it fell off some - I'm saying that because of your lower hp number.
Congrats on taking your car to the dyno, by the way! That must have been a fun experience.
We haven't met up for any Halo lately - need to do that again soon.

Torque peak was actually closer to 2800 RPM, but the curve was crazy because of the bad boost controller settings and we pulled all of the runs when the A/Fs were unstable.
09Factor will certainly be able to post better results when we get the car in for some tuning in three weeks.
