What would cause this?? Pettit Supercharger

Looking at a Pettit supercharger and noticed this, chewed up section on the edge of a blade, any reason this would happen and would this cause problems later on???

Am inbalance in the assembly would cause that, lack of oil, a few things. Cam doesn't make the blower unit, I would contact the manufacturer (search pettit thread).

Normally if a rotor had damage on a vane it would be insufficient clearancing or ingesting of debris, but it doesnt look like there is damage to the opposite rotor,is there damage to the vane on the left of the 1 that is clearly visible, if so, it may be a quality control production flaw.

I thought it was a Lysholm unit but it may be a Kenne Bell, you would have to search the Pettit thread. But I am sure you can get it rebuilt.
