I would suggest running MSD wires or Magnacoil at worst. The Nology wires emit alot of RFI/EMI at high rpms and will induce misfires across the ignition coils...
My general thought is that people who are unwilling to read the STICKIED posts in this exact forum before posting about forced induction have no business messing with their engine.
Ill look into different wires, and the answer to the first wreaked vehicle a very nice truckdriver helped me with that one.
a road was converted to a double one way the same day, he negleticted to read the 6 signs listed on both sides in english and arabic, and decided to make a left turn from the right lane without looking while i was under his wheels.
hence the picture me stopped at a fence in the intersection. at least i took out 2 of his cousins bicycles.
worse thing was insurance paid for the car and not the mods.
and before they gave me the money they stripped the car and sold the parts around the world and made alot of $$$ if they knew what they were doing.
so i got stuck with the bill and alot of tears.
picture attached
you didn't buy back the wreck and strip the parts!!!??
Why not? It looks like the old one had a load done to it too! Sucks big time.... 8(
Good luck with new project..... Its a good sign for the 8 that you chose the 8 again, rather than a different car.....
Edit, wow awesome old drag dodge too...Now thats a big supercharger! haha!

like i said they parted the car before telling me that i was only getting insured for the oem car value - 10%. i absolutely love the 8. ive also been pondering the possibility of remote turbo. looks like someone beat me http://web.rotaryinsider.com/rx8-120.html
only things i would change is run the return piping down the passenger side to offset my fat A$$ and change some pipework/parts. but great job let us know how it turns out David8 http://www.rx8club.com/members/david8-55990/

i would assume about the same,
i was around 300rwhp, at only 8-12psi,
never dynoed it. because the car wreaked 3 days before my coils came in. it died sept 2007
the issues i had was with belts not being able to withstand sustained 7K+ rpm for hours, 3 chargers failed to heat, coils melting and nuking my cat, and stuck open bov (faulty) not discovered untill moments before its death...
so to be honest i loved it but never had it over 75% condition. it was too loud though... heres links to sound bites http://forced-inductions.com/RX8_Charger/Charger.mp3
its funny to scare people on the highway when all they can hear is air being sucked in. http://forced-inductions.com/RX8_Charger/Revving.mp3

Update Bump !!! marked in Red is Ordered. marked in Green is Installed.
I added part numbers as well if people require them for their projects.
I’ve decided to take up after RotoRocks Rear remote turbo design with most likely .60-.70/.50-.70 ars
I have a brilliant design for exhaust system that Ill post later on when it comes closer to fruition
I know about the maf tubing, its already drawn up with my exhaust system.
the car hopefully will be in my hand tomorrow, stupid customs...
I decided to go hymee cuz I will put a carputer/laptop in the vehicle and the intregration of the brick to the screen would be nice and save the cost of guages (except boost and oil temp?) Edit -went with cobb at last minute-
the intake may be in the trunk as I dont think there will be too much noise or sucking in the a/ced air
I'd rather it inside because I used to kill prochargers every week from the dust and heat here.
as for wider I was actually thinking 275/35r18s on the oem rim that will be cut and extended to be 9.5 and spacer to correct offset.
Out here in the uae the roads are so sticky from the 45+C and its all perfectly straight highway for 500 kms with only some radars on the side (which are the size of a phone booth)
and the nittos really well on my friends 630 hp procharged BMW M6 plus the design looks sexy as hell
the intake may be in the trunk as I dont think there will be too much noise or sucking in the a/ced air
I'd rather it inside because I used to kill prochargers every week from the dust and heat here.
I can't imagine how this will work
aren't you better to have a really big air filter and clean it often ????

all I can say about Axial Flow Short Shifter IS OMG!!!!!!
this is a must for everyone and I wish I had it on my last RX8
takes less then 1/2 hour. only need 2 tools screwdriver and 10mm
its bolt action, 5th is where 3rd was, Reverse is where 4th was.
no more problems for the track/race 1-2 shift or the 5-6 shift
I reconmend this to everyone even if its a dayly driver.
now the clutch/flywheel needs to be upgraded lol which will be soon!!!
my wife will give birth end of month or begining
after that its all gunhoe for my RX8 baby lol
After doing a 192.9km drive test I swear this short shifter will increase the life of the transmission
no more accidental grinds from forks/syncros, much smoother operations, less metal on metal sound
the drive test was drag after drag with no problems the rest was ralley/track style and donoughts with ease.
Axial please do not ever discontinue this product
As long as 8's are produced and theres nothing better released I will buy one for each model I own lol
Its so nice to have your own painting slaves -cackles-
just getting rid of those scuff marks from the previous owner
had some left over BMW paint from when I armored the 2009 X6 TwinTurbo V8
today I'm getting the coils from the postoffice and will be installing them tonight
perhaps with the waterpump as well, more to come quickly
I got the coils....
apparently they received them 09/09/09 and didnt feel like telling anyone...
I bitched them out hardcore, and they still had the guts to charge me a shelf fee of $2 lol
Installed and all I can say is wowowowow this with the shifter are probibly the 2 best mods next comes turbos lol
not really but great cheap transformations of the car wow...
less idle shake(noticed by butt meter, sunroof and shifter), power at 2k insted of 4k, 1/2 to 1 tick running colder, (45C+ weather)
can start in 2nd in stop and go traffic without the car going retarded. smoother mid, more torque, quieter running. probibly more milage,
6500+ feels like old 9k uhhh and stuff!!! dont even bother to buy the crazy expensive DLI2 as it doesnt do anything like these coils do...
see below!!!
Okay here goes using the princable below I have come up with the idea for my exhaust system.
it will be based on 2x1.75 inch piping with only spiral mufflers (moroso or dna or simular)
now correct me if I am wrong but doing so will give my pipework a surface area of 2.4x2 = 4.8 thus keeping volocity higher (heat)
with the same amount of flow of a 3.5 inch without all the gases expanding outwords and only moving towards the rear of the vehicle?
plus as shown in the drawings the turbo will be a divided flange so that the pulses from the engine will assist in driving a larger turbo???
or a wastegate or dump actuator could possibly be used to direct all exhaust down one 1.75 tube below say 4krpm then open to both after to create lower spooling times
(technology idea behinds BMW's X6 twin turbo, the rear of the vehicle is 4 exhaust ports at low rpms its only 2 to create backpressure to spool better..)
anyways drawings below. they are done in ms paint so no complaining!!! please note not to scale or bends accurate its just a visual explination...
from manifold will be 3x1.75. the shared port will have a small 200+cell cat for the 02 readings. the primary ports will only have spiral silencers.
the shared port will share the pulse between both tubes hopefully to keep each side more charged. this way theres next to no obstructions in the exhaust.
Think of it as a really long header.... my cad drawing done at work is well... at the office.....

oh I know those posts very well been like my bible long before this thread was made,
the change in heart from esmeril was the dream I keep having about the exhaust system for the rear turbo.
the kicker for this idea was stumbling upon the RE 2x cat back and my work with the BMW x6 twinturbo...
and becides I already had a front procharged rx8, had heating issues even with upgraded fans, rad, pump, tstat no stat, raised hood no hood etc....
I love RotoRocks work, and I wouldnt mind taking it a step further.
and the bonus is the underhood will look completely stock cept for the intercooler inthe front....
I renamed this thread nearly a month ago but it doesnt update in the Major Horsepower Upgrades
its title is Rear FI Daily Driver Project!!! if a Mod/Super would update the thread insted of me copy/pasting everything over to a new one lol
